167 Catering Support Regiment RLC
This training year has seen a change in the man-
datory training for our soldiers with Individual
Training Requirement (ITR) replacing MATTs.
ITR provides a simple individual training system
and conditioning framework, preparing people
to succeed in their everyday jobs, during training
events, and in readiness for deployment on opera-
tions. The initial transition has proven challenging,
but progress is being made and the training team
are identifying the best path to achieve ITR for our
reserve soldiers in particular.
Furthermore, the Regiment is making changes
to the training by providing a mixture of weekdays
and weekend opportunities as well as school term
time and non-term time to cater for the needs of
all our soldiers where possible. This hopefully will
increase the commitment of our Reserve soldiers
and provide them with more opportunities to
remain part of the Reserves.
