Remembrance Sunday Cenotaph Parade 10th November 2024

resulting in the ACC contingent totalling 74 on
parade – this is the largest cohort for many years.
Although the purpose of the day is to
remember those who have served, it does afford
the opportunity for us veterans to meet, spin a
tall tail and ‘remember when’. It was great to see
so many faces I have not seen for many years –
often with, ‘you have not changed’ – in this case
white lies are accepted. You will note, from the
many photos with this article that we were all
turned out in good order.
Now to the marching. The association
acquitted itself superbly – most in step less the
Secretary who was singled out a number of
times by the parade Sgt Major (Harry Lomas)
for being out of step. So much so that he will be
