ACC Corps Sunday Sunday 30th June 2024

Unfortunately, we have had to change
the programmed Corps Sunday from
7th July 2024 to Sunday 30th June
2024 and to a different location, from
the Garrison Church to the Cathedral
Church of St Michael and St George
due to the Garrison Church under-
going a major refurbishment through
June and July.
The fact that we had to change both
date and venue did not detract from
the day itself. The Church service was
the best I have attended, and many of
those who attended endorsed this, this
was down to the Padre, Father Nick
Gosden who was both entertaining as
well as being reverential – he was the The salute
epitome of what I remember padres march, paraded under the auspices of
being. There were over 100 at the church Chip Walker who acted as the Drill
service, including 2 of our Chelsea In Sgt for the day. The ACC Association
Pensioners; Bill Horsburgh and Andy Chairman, Lt Col Nigel Sheperd was
Lee and I thank Paul Byrne for driving the receiving officer who took the salute

the Rushmoor Concert Band, who have
supported the Association for many
years and long may it continue.
We returned back to the Holiday Inn
for lunch. The function room was well
decorated, with tables festooned by ACC Colin MacDonald with the Association Standared and

taking them home after the meal. Drinks
were aplenty, and the meal was good, if
not gourmet – the staff were dutiful and
