ACCGS Spring Meeting
2022 Society Captain Joe Beaver hosted an excel-
lent day, despite a fairly low field of 13 after some
last minute withdrawals. The morning 18 hole indi-
vidual Stableford was won by Peter Purcell with 35
points and David Fox coming a close second with
34 points. The afternoon team Stableford of nine
holes was won by Peter Sharman, Graham Rigate
and Terry Reddings with 38 points and runners up
with 36 points were David Fox, Peter Purcell, Tony
Fryer and Rod Dann. An excellent day was rounded
off by great food and a prize-giving ceremony with
Society Captain Joe Beaver presenting the prizes.
Membership
Sadly long time member of the Society Ken Peacock
passed away on 7th January 2022. Ken and his wife
Joan were staunch supporters of the Society and
were frequent participants in the annual tour until
quite recently. Ken was a charming man, excellent
golfer and will be missed.
