ACC ASSOCIATION NEWSLETTER
as word gets around, numbers close to 100 now, all
we ask is that you are a rider or past rider and, in
the association, or another RLC Forming Corps
Association such as the RCT.
After such a dreadful year, it is perhaps
appropriate just to take a moment to remember
“Absent Friends”.
can buy or manufacture. Also, a good place to meet
up with people you served with including those in
the units, not just chefs.
Many of the Facebook page ACC/RLC riders
are now on joint sites with the RCT/RLC. This
gives us a chance to interact with both other rid-
ers and another Corps. A mutual respect shown
by both the ACC and RLC riders. A group photo
shows riders from both Corps at the base of the
steps of ‘The Wall’. Our Facebook page is growing
ACC Memorial Hall
Many members will remember the ACC Memorial Hall and
the fact that it is now very well used as a Gurkha Temple.
The bottom far right image shows the small chapel in the
Memorial Hall as it once was, together with the large paint-
ing by member Phillip Russell which is now at St Andrews
Church in Worthy Down.
Each year a group of members still visit the ACC Memorial
Hall, normally on the Thursday prior to Remembrance Sunday,
and lay an ACC wreath on the memorial stone shown in the
image below. The other pictures show the Chapel as it now
is, together with several memorial stones embedded into the
walls of the Chapel, and the wrought iron ACC badge and
the year 1955.
