The South Wales reunion (Posh Doo)

       on the 19th March 2022

Well folks there we go, the first reunion held
in South Wales at the Ty Newydd Country
Hotel, Hirwaun near Aberdare. It all began with
numerous discussions between me and Dave Bevan
it was decided that we would do one. Then over to
Dave for the advertisement and me the leg work for
the venue etc we finally got there.
My thanks go to the now retired Corps
Secretary Wally Vincent for getting the grant from
the Corps to help with the evening’s costs. To Dave
Bevan for the aerial pictures for the Facebook page
advertisement and not forgetting a special thanks
to Paul Chalk who was volunteered to be Mr Vice
(Master of Ceremonies) for the evening on the
actual night. He thought he got away with it but…
The venue chosen was the Ty Newydd hotel set
in a picturesque area of South Wales on the edge of
the Brecon Beacon national park and about a mile
from the Penderyn whisky distillery where the true
Welsh whisky is made. Others tourist wonders in
the local area such as Pen-y-fan, Swansea, Brecon
